Our Sticker Background cards were fun and each very different. Here are a few photos. Most had never tried this technique before. Several kids did as well as anyone. Everyone designed 4-6 cards.
Shading and Shadow
August 6th Saturday will be a fun day with our Jumbo Floral Stamps. In the morning we will use the stamps with inks, chalk and color pencils on paper. We will learn about shading and shadows to make your flowers look 3D. A good warm up would be to watch the following 2 videos.

Quick Moneymaker Cards
Last Saturday afternoon we made cards using simple variations of the Sticker Background Technique with flock, glitter and Class A’ Peel Stickers. Each card is a touch and feel experience. Everyone made at least 4 cards. We took pics so later I will post some of them for you to see. Everyone was such a good sport to show and tell in front of the video camera.
If you aren’t familiar with this technique, we have several videos. On the stampendous youtube channel enter “sticker background” in the search to the right and it will bring up several options. The one titled How to Organize & Clean-up Your Rubber Stamps and Powders explains about using open containers and a spoon for easy access of multiple colors of powder, flock or glitter.

Catching the Handmade Vision
We had a great time last Saturday in our workshops. For those of you out of the area, I will give you a couple options to follow along with us. In the morning we talked about “Catching the Vision”. Here is the concise version video. I was much windier, I mean wordier, telling my story in person. I explain about how Stampendous is an ANGEL company. I was surprised to learn that some of our stamp competitors do not allow people to sell what they stamp. Too bad. Believe it or not, this freeze frame expression is better than most. Remind to show you my face with the spritz bottle.
Catch the Handmade Vision
Although it may take me a while, I do plan to develop a video/book option of my handmade workshop series so that anyone anywhere can benefit. I appreciate those of you willing to be in the ORIGINAL 30 day Craft Challenge. It’s an adventure!

Getting my feet wet…
Squishing my toes in the wet sand and getting splashed by the cool waves are delightful feelings. It was a lovely day at the beach in Laguna. There’s nothing quite like a California day with warm sunshine and a cool breeze. That was the day I decided I would develop my own blog of some sort to talk about my new passion for “stampendous handmade”.
I will hang on to those delightful feelings during this new learning curve for me. I know I will be happy once I can do this independently. Others will be even happier. Believe me! So this is my first blog posting! Splish! Splash!
